Whenever one passes by Notre dame, it always feels stopping by these shops. Some tourists stop by just because of curiosity and but most of us go there for their love for books. I usually do to it to get some affordable French literature and to practice French with natives ;) They tell us more about ancient times; that they have seen Paris with their age and with their books. Iulia has portrayed the life and profession of Buchiniştii with the minute details and with great interests. It makes us happy to know so much about these booklovers cum booksellers. They have made their ‘choice of freedom in lifestyle and profession’. Isn’t it inspiring? Qutoing Iulia about the originality of this profession.. “Buchiniştii feel threatened and fragile in the face of modernity. Some do not let me take pictures, defending it with fanaticism as the distribution of photographs should be attenuated value of their work. In a sense they're right: who wants to see, to come there, however can not possibly guess from a picture real experience” That is why I have mentioned earlier that these people as native, and they present the age of Paris themselves! And now a secret, when you miss you grand old parents, come to “Buchiniştii” ;) I wish I could also buy lot of paintings here, but it’s a dream yet. I need to change apartments in Paris, after every six months, and hence I can’t carry a lot of things, but I can carry the best memories of these “Greenery of Seine”  wherever I go.
